CONSUMER ALERT: Beware of Fake Cheap China Made WiperTags Knockoffs

CONSUMER ALERT: Beware of Fake Cheap China Made WiperTags Knockoffs

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Unfortunately for many consumers, the imitations are causing dissatisfaction and confusion.

We're seen an increase in resellers across the globe using our product designs and viral videos to drive sales to their websites. Once they have their money, they send the orders to China to dropship a cheaply made version of our WiperTags product. And many consumers never receive any product at all.  Some are sold on Amazon and eBay also.

As a result, the consumers ends up contacting us to complain about the product or track where their order is.  When we can't find an order for them, we advise them to check their credit card or PayPal statement. The charges end up being from a company they've never even heard of before. Many of the websites have already closed shop and no longer exist.

We've ordered these product ourselves. They're really bad. The decal is often just a cling not designed for outdoor use. It has no protective lamination and feels like paper. The one we received was wrinkled and torn. The attachment material is regular Velcro for indoor use only. Definitely NOT something you EVER want to stick on your vehicle. You'll need a commercial solvent to remove the adhesive and likely will ruin your wiper arm. The arm is just regular plastic, non UV protected against fading. You'll be lucky if it lasts a day, but you get what you pay for.

If you've accidentally ordered one of these knockoffs, here is what we recommend:

  • Look through your emails to see if you received a confirmation of your order with a contact.  The phone numbers are often fake. Send them a message and let them know you want a refund.
  • Check your credit card or PayPal statement to get the name of the company that charged you. Immediately open a dispute for fraud through PayPal or your card issuing bank. The company sold you an illegal copyrighted product design, and not the product shown in the video/ad.
  • We recommend you NOT put the product on your vehicle. You can purchase an authentic WiperTag from our website, Amazon, or Etsy. Look for the WiperTags name brand and Made in USA.

Here is a pic of our packaged product on the left vs a knockoff on the right from China, wrapped in foam with no instructions or return information.

Here is another knockoff sold by a brand called Meitinalife on Amazon. Other brands selling knockoffs on Amazon include MIYSNEIRN, vylymuses, Mofeng, and Ywillink.

The bunny decal ripped in half pulling it off the backing.

This is a knockoff of our Peep a Boo chicks design. They removed our name from it.

Below are some examples of the ads used to drive traffic to their websites. Our Santa, Snowman, and Elf designs have been found on many websites as well as Amazon, eBay, and even Walmart.com.

PLEASE HELP US identify these bad actors by tagging WiperTags in any posts on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. You can also email us any links to wipertags@gmail.com. We will send them a Cease and Desist and take legal action if they do not remove.
